15139/01AN Ofsted report has given Seagry Pre-School top marks for providing high quality nursery education.
A Government inspector ranked teaching, leadership and development and partnership with parents at the pre-school as very good.
This is the highest score a school can achieve, according to Ofsted standards.
The report said: "Children are making very good progress towards the early learning goal of creative development, and freely express themselves through painting, drawing, collage and model making."
Liz McCarron Heal, chairman of the pre-school, which has 23 pupils, said the report recognised the staff's dedication and excellent teaching skills
She particularly thanked pre-school supervisor Sally Lewis for her hard work.
Ms McCarron Heal said: "Sally is very dedicated. She is caring and committed to education. She only became supervisor about a year ago and she has turned the pre-school round.
"Our motto is learning through play and the children love being here. We have regular outings and craft activities, and about 75 per cent of parents are involved with the pre-school committee which keeps everyone informed."
Ms McCarron Heal said staff and parents were currently trying to raise £2,000 to keep the pre-school running successfully.
