MID-WILTS YOUTH AND MINOR LEAGUE: CHIPPENHAM Town Youth U12 need just two points from their last three games to clinch this season's Green Division title after running out 10-2 winners away to Westbury Youth.
DJ Wheeler and Ashley Ball, scoring his first goal for the club from the penalty spot, scored for Westbury.
FC Chippenham held home side Calne Town Youth to a 1-1 score line at the break but after the interval Calne stepped up a gear, netting a further three with no reply to finish 4-1 winners. Josh Archer (3) and Mike Coulson scored for Calne.
Pewsey Vale raced into a 5-0 lead in the first half against Castle Combe Colts with goals from Frank Mowatt, Chris Ward, Jamie Webb and Sam Condon (2).
Castle Combe organised their back four in the second half denying Pewsey further strikes but were unable to reply themselves.
A mid-table clash saw Bradford on Avon convincing 9-2 home winners against Melksham Town. Ben Macey and Jordan Kirk scored for Melksham.
U11 Division B
DEVIZES Town Youth gave a solid team performance against White Horse Juniors, taking a 3-0 lead at the break before finishing 6-0 winners.
Daniel Ralph (2), Aaron Chivers, Josh Gregory (2) and Rory Collins scored for Devizes.
A game of two halves was certainly played out between Westbury Youth and Chippenham Town Youth. The visitors took a 4-2 lead at the break but were pegged back in the second by a resolute Westbury defence.
Westbury were on the attack throughout the half and netted a further four to finish 6-4 winners. Tristan O'Hayden (2), William Bryant (2), Thomas Blackman and Elise Mantay scored for Westbury.
U11 Division C
DERRY Hill United ran out 15-1 winners at home to Melksham Park leaving them clear leaders at the top of the table.
U11 Division D
A SPECIAL mention must go to the Westbury keeper who made some outstanding saves in Castle Combe's 12-2 victory.
Without him, the scoreline could easily have been more. Castle were in top form and scored through Kane Tilley, Tony Hughes, debutant Luke Simpkins, Sam Wozniak and an own goal.
Jack Fraser also struck home from 15 yards, giving the keeper no chance, for his first goal for the club in four years.
U10 Blue Division
WHEN Castle Combe Colts and Trowbridge Town Tigers get together you know there will be some excellent football played, and that is exactly how this battle unfolded.
Colts got off to a good start and the half went there way. Goals from Charlie Austin and captain Josh Hard made the score 2-1.
The second half started with Tigers playing some fantastic football and this paid off when they raced into a 4-2 lead.
Both teams showed quality throughout the match but Colts turned up the pressure and managed to even the game out to 4-4 with goals coming from Josh Hard and Chris Baker.
Hard went on to fire home the match winning goal for Colts for his hat-trick and man of the match award.
Other games in this division saw division leaders Warminster Highbury run out 5-1 winners at home against Calne Town Youth, and Derry Hill United run out 10-0 winners at home against Chippenham Town Rangers.
U10 Red Division
CASTLE Combe Colts took an early lead against visitors Westbury Youth when a Luke Ross shot was deflected in by Elias Baynham.
On the stroke of half time Westbury found the equaliser they had battled for. Both teams were denied by outstanding defending before Westbury snatched a winner.
Derry Hill United took a 4-0 lead at the break in their home game against Chippenham Town Rangers with goals from Stuart Allen, Pavraj Lochab, Tom McDonagh and Stuart Allen.
Derry continued to dominate after the break adding six more to their tally through Lochab (4) and Alex Bell (2) to finish 10-0 winners.
U10 Yellow Division
AFTER trailing 2-0 to Dilton Rovers, Castle Combe's Harry Prangle put the visitors back in the frame before a late strike from Harrison Wicks ended the game level at 2-2.
Two great strikes from Kieran Brixton, and one from Dean Upton, gave hosts Melksham Town Youth a 3-1 win against Bromham.
Melksham Park started strongly against visitors Warminster Highbury with some good attacking football which was rewarded by a super strike from Harry Keane.
Park continued to stretch the Highbury defence throughout the first period with some excellent interplay between Stuart Flippance, Harry Keane and Laurence Goddard, creating plenty of goal scoring opportunities. Toby Mott and Keiron Edney held the defensive line well.
But in the second half Warminster regrouped and battled valiantly to produce three goals for a comfortable victory at 3-1.
U9 Blue Division
FC Chippenham opened the scoring against home side Trowbridge Town Youth with a fine effort from Corry Minney, whose long range shot beat everyone.
Trowbridge drew level before the break through Elliott Hughes. In a close second half Nick Vanderpump got Trowbridge's winner.
Trowbridge Wanderers won the bottom of the table clash with Devizes Town Youth 3-1 after Andrew Wilkins opened the scoring.
AFC Corsham Jaguars earned their third win on the bounce, running out 2-1 winners at home to Castle Combe.
U9 Green Division
DERRY Hill United gave a great team performance against division leaders Melksham Town Youth, with Melksham taking the points with a narrow 2-1 away victory. Daniel Kirk and Brad Butcher scored for Melksham.
Warminster Highbury ran out 3-1 winners away to Bath Arsenal with Robert Appleton scoring the consolation for Bath.
U9 Red Division
BROMHAM celebrated their first win since November after running out 5-1 winners at FC Chippenham.
Thomas Hall (2), Charlie Pullen (2) and Callum Smith scored for Bromham with Robert Preece replying for Chippenham.
U9 Yellow Division
BOTTOM of the table Trowbridge Wanderers started well in their clash with home side and division leaders Melksham Park without scoring.
Melksham scored against the run of play then went on to dominate the remainder of the half, going in 3-0 up at the break.
Melksham continued their momentum after the interval adding two more to their tally but Wanderers never gave up.
Goals from Charlie Nash (2), Jordan Norville (2) and Connor Randall did the damage.
U16 Blue Division
IN a very competitive game, AFC Barbury took a 1-0 lead at the break against visitors Calne Town Youth.
Calne battled on in the second half but Barbury sealed their victory with a second goal and take a six point lead at the top of the table.
Devizes Town Youth's unbeaten run came to an unfortunate end after visitors Salisbury City stole a 1-0 win in the final minutes.
Devizes had no luck and missed several chances throughout the game, hitting the cross bar, having two goals disallowed and missing a penalty.
The mid table clash between home side Bath Arsenal and Westbury Youth saw Bath run out 6-0 winners.
U16 Red Division
AFC Corsham entertained Rowde in a keenly fought game played at Leafy Lane.
It was Rowde who broke the deadlock ffrom the spot midway through the first half. Within minutes Corsham were back on level terms with a scintillating left foot drive which hit the roof of the net from Aaron Neal.
In the second half Corsham stepped up a gear and took the lead through another goal from Neal. Michael Clarke added to the tally but Rowde continued to battle and scored following a free kick which was not cleared by Corsham.
But a Sam Jones free kick deflected off a defender and beat the Rowde goalkeeper for 4-2 to Corsham.
Amesbury Juniors scored two early goals in their home game against Marlborough Town before racing on to win 7-1 with goals from Nathan Jones (3), Michael Stachini (2), Harry Gale and Matt Dando.
Dan Barnet gave Trowbridge Town Youth seconds the lead in their 3-3 draw against Melksham Park. Sam Kirkpatrick and Kris Clayton hit the others in a tense draw.
Castle Combe Colts ran out 5-1 winners at Warminster Highbury, who scored through Steven Lisowski.
U15 Green Division
DEVIZES Blues ran out 5-2 winners at home to Warminster Highbury with goals from Oliver Sivyer, Nathan Elliott and a hat-trick from James Muir.
Pewsey Vale ran out 5-2 winners at home to Melksham Town Youth seconds with goals from Zak Mayer and a hat-trick from Max Wood.
U15 Red Division
CASTLE Combe narrowed the gap at the top of the table to just four points after running out 2-1 winners at home to Bradford on Avon.
Matthew Stealyard took the lead for Castle Combe making it 1-0 at the break. After the interval Jake O'Keefe made it 2-0 before Bradford made it 2-1 at the final whistle.
Melksham Park played host to Marlborough Town with both giving great team performances.
Neither managed to get on to the scoresheet in the first half but Marlborough broke the deadlock early on after the interval.
Joel Moody equalised for Melksham before Ashley Palmer scored the winner giving Melksham the game at 2-1.
U14 Green Division
DEVIZES Town Youth fended off division winners Castle Combe Colts with a magnificent team performance, resulting in a 0-0 final score.
AFC Corsham ran out convincing 9-2 winners at home against South Newton & Wishford. Daniel King, Tom Lye (2), Nathan Baines (2), Daniel Purser (2), Stephen Goulding and Scott Lees scored for Corsham.
Melksham Town Youth enhanced their chances of runners up slot after running out 3-2 winners against Pewsey Vale. Olly Woodland, Medhi Ibrahim and Adam Potter scored for Melksham.
U14 Red Division
A SUPERBLY taken hat-trick from Tommy O'Cain secured a good win for Castle Combe Colts in a well contested game against White Horse Juniors.
White Horse started well and it was against the run of play that Tommy lobbed the keeper to score his first but the Colts then took control with Ben Hyatt scoring in the first half.
O'Cain completed his hat-trick in the second half and Josh Whiteside scored his first goal for the club before Chris Carter neatly finished for a consolation for White Horse to end the game at 5-1 to the Colts.
U12 Blue Division
DEVIZES Town Youth gave one of their best performances of the season when they took on division leaders Trowbridge Town Youth Reds.
Devizes dominated the first half denying Trowbridge any advance and scoring two goals, both from Lee Martin. Trowbridge rallied in the second half denying Devizes and Josh Otis broke through their defence twice to level at 2-2.
Other games in this division saw Melksham Park Youth run out 2-1 winners away to AFC Corsham with Smith scoring for Corsham and Amesbury Juniors running out 5-0 winners away to Warminster Highbury.
