A CHAIR specially made for the chairmen of the former Round Table in Marlborough has found a new home with the Rotary Club.
Its maker, Marlborough craftsman Alan Solly, was among former Tablers at a ceremony at which the chair was handed over to Rotary president Gordon Spiller.
The Round Table folded several years ago and the Marlborough 41 Club for former Tablers became concerned at the future of Round Table regalia including the chair.
It was decided that the chair, made of yew with cowhide upholstery, should be presented to the Rotary Club to use until such time as a Round Table is re-formed in the town.
