THERE is just over a week to go before the end of a scheme which is collecting unwanted Christmas presents so they can be sold to raise cash for charity.
Residents are being urged to hand over gifts which are being sold to raise funds for the Wroughton-based Prospect Hospice before the Monday January 31 deadline.
They can be delivered to the Lok' n Store premises on the Rushy Platt or the Elgin industrial estates from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday or between noon and 2pm on Sundays.
Any goods, apart from electrical items or furniture, can be taken in. David Line, of Prospect Hospice, said: "This is a superb initiative and I do hope that the local community will take this as an opportunity to support their local hospice."
Abigail Birks, of business and household self storage company Lok' n Store, said she was pleased to be supporting such a worthy cause.
Currently the annual cost of running the hospice is £3m. For more information phone 01793 815142.
