WOOTTON Bassett U14s had hoped to bounce back from the bad luck of last week's encounter with Andover but it just wasn't to be at Westbury on Sunday.
The home side, buoyed by their recent victory over Bradford on Avon, put Bassett under pressure from the kick-off, but it was the visitors who were first on the score sheet through a try from Andy Rolfe, his first of the season.
Westbury were quick to reply through two converted tries giving themselves a half-time advantage of 14-5.
The second half continued at the same fast pace as the first, but Bassett's performance was badly affected by a series of handling errors.
Westbury scored again with another converted try, the game ending with a reasonably comfortable victory to Westbury
