WE feel we must protest at what we feel to be an unfair and unbalanced vilification of Mr Lynch, the licensee of The Crown (Gazette, January 13).
When we recently organised a charity event in aid of breast cancer research several local businesses made donations and contributions, including The Crown.
Mr Lynch himself was extremely generous and made it clear to us that we would be welcome to approach him in the event of any future such functions.
Your efforts to portray him as an insensitive skinflint were mean and inaccurate.
It must have been a very poor week for the news for you to feel that such a thin story was worthy of your front page headline.
