GAZETTE & HERALD: CHIPPENHAM'S only independent photography shop has announced it will be closing its doors at the end of the month.
Two staff at T4 Cameras in Market Place, are being made redundant.
Tom Dingwall, managing director of T4 Cameras, said the shop had not generated enough business to make it viable.
"We are very sorry that this is happening and obviously we'd rather keep it open," he said.
The nearest T4 stores to Chippenham are in Devizes and Swindon.
Pembroke Photography, which is above T4 Cameras, has assured its customers that it will keep trading despite having to move out of the rented building.
Owners Chris and Pam Burfoot are currently in negotiations to secure a new premises in the town.
Mr and Mrs Burfoot started up the business 13 years ago but sold the retail side to Tom Dingwall, managing director of T4 Cameras, two years ago.
Mrs Burfoot said: "We are very sad to see that the business that we built up is to close.
"It is another small independent retailer falling victim to the large retailers and internet sellers who are able to cut prices to such a degree that it forces specialist dealers out of business."
The future of the building in Market Place has not yet been secured.
