Security manager Vince Cortilla has been given a new role at the shopping centre he has helped to run for the past 10 years.
Mr Cortilla has been appointed operations manager at The Shires shopping centre, Trowbridge.
The role will give him wider responsibility in the day to day running of the mall alongside the centre's manager, Steve Murray.
Mr Murray, who took over the running of The Shires a year ago this month, said: "Vince has played an important part in running The Shires security
operation and has been an excellent deputy in my absence and for the previous manager.
"He has helped to reunite many lost children with their parents as well as ensuring the mall is safe and secure for all our shoppers and tenants alike."
Mr Cortilla will continue his security role, but in addition he will now be much more involved in health and safety, maintenance and engineering and the general running of the centre.
Mr Cortilla, who joined The Shires in 1995, was brought up in Chippenham but has lived in Trowbridge for the past 10 years.
