TENANTS officially get 'good' service from West Wiltshire Housing Society. The Audit Commission gave the association two stars out of three for managing homes well and said it had 'promising prospects' for improvement.
Chief housing inspector, Shayne Hembrow, said: "Over the last 18 months West Wiltshire Housing Society has made solid improvements which have benefited their customers."
Inspectors said:
Services were accessible, with well-motivated staff and contractors
Tenants were satisfied with services and the areas they live in
Homes were well maintained and improving, exceeding the decent homes standard
The society has a strong track record, with tenants involved in planning of services.
The report said services provided to leaseholders are not as good as services to tenants and the society cannot demonstrate value for money with all services.
