30102/1PUPILS have been discovering a new culture, while learning about their own. Sutton Veny Primary has welcomed a new teacher from Portugal who will teach pupils about her country and language.
Patricia Granja, 28, said: "The pupils seem to be enjoying learning Portuguese. They are picking it up fast even though it is difficult.
"Everybody has been welcoming. The children have shown me around the sites, like Longleat, and Bradford on Avon."
Headteacher Christine Folker said: "It is nice for the children to learn about another country.
"They have also started thinking about their own culture as well which has been excellent."
Miss Granja has been sponsored by the British Council and will teach at Sutton Veny for the next five months.
