16457A WARMINSTER school had cause for a double celebration this month with the opening of their new library and three pupils being offered places at Oxford and Cambridge.
Warminster School opened its new library, complete with 7,000 books and 20 computers at the start of term.
This week three pupils have been offered provisional places at England's most prestigious universities.
Edward Dickins was offered a place at Cambridge to study civil engineering, Ben Simonds was also accepted at Cambridge to read natural sciences and Oxford offered Lauren Hawkins the chance to study English and Spanish.
Graeme McQueen, head of sixth form, said he was delighted.
"It's a testament to the hard work of the students and hopefully to the high standard of teaching that we have here at Warminster," he said.
"In addition, the library will only enhance our facilities as it will improve the independence of learning, providing an excellent opportunity for private study."
