A PRIMARY school near Bradford on Avon has won a cash prize for providing shady areas to prevent skin cancer.
Freshford Primary School won £275 in the annual Play 'n' Shade Competition sponsored by the Skin Cancer Research Fund.
Freshford was one of nine primary schools in the west to win a prize for its provision of shady play and outdoor learning areas in its grounds.
The charity, based at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, has decided to focus on young people to teach them about ways to prevent the disease.
