Andy Thompson, Walsh and Jon Beddow, meanhwile, have been selected to represent Dorset & Wilts Under 20s this season.

n SUPERMARINE skipper James Titcombe believes last week's Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Vase defeat to local rivals Wootton Bassett proved his side's higher-league credentials.

Marine host Cricklade in Dorset & Wilts One North tomorrow, flanker Rob Pinchin coming in for Martin Bryan and Dan King moving to centre.

Titcombe said: "Although I was disappointed that we lost last week we proved that we can compete at a higher level.

"Our forwards pushed Bassett around the park last week and we will be looking to use the same force against Cricklade.

"If we can win good ball I'm sure our backs will score the points.''

Supermarine 2nd are also at home against Trowbridge 3rd in Dorset & Wilts Two North.

Marlborough are hoping to lift themselves off the basement tomorrow as Calne visit.

The home side have long-term injuries to captain Geraint Jones and Richard Piper, but welcome back Rob Latham and new signing Allan Brown.
