PREPARATIONS are under way for the annual Trowbridge pancake race on February 8. The always-fierce competition in the four races looks set to continue this year as teams from around the town get ready to join in the fun.
The Wiltshire Times team will be hoping to better last year's scores, which saw them collect three gongs in the event.
News editor Craig Evry, who came second in last year's men's race, said: "The pancake race is always a lot of fun and tends to bring out the competitiveness in everyone taking part."
Anyone taking part is invited to come along in fancy dress and are asked to bring their own pancake and frying pan.
Entry forms are available from the town council offices in Fore Street, to be returned by February 4.
The race will begin at 11am on February 8, in Fore Street, with registration at 10.30am.
