SHADOW Higher Education Minister David Rendel will talk to Swindon A-level students about their concerns over entering higher education.
The Liberal Democrat MP for Newbury will meet New College students on Sunday.
Mr Rendel will then visit residents in Walcot as well as endorsing Nicky Sewell, who he has described as a 'rising star of the Lib Dems'. Nicky will stand for the party in the ward's by-election.
She said: "We're delighted that Mr Rendel has found the time to work with us in Swindon.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for Swindon students to tell a sympathetic MP what really matters to them. There is a lot of concern that the Higher Education Bill could hobble students with up to £30,000 debt.
"Walcot residents will be able to take the opportunity to speak with David on issues where Liberal Democrats offer alternatives.
"These range from replacing the council tax and protecting Coate to ID cards and the future of Iraq."
