I WAS surprised to see your reporter on January 13 reflecting, without comment, inaccurate local Conservative Party propaganda that Swindon gets a bad deal from central government.
The fact is that in their last three years in office the Conservative Party cut support for Swindon by five per cent.
That is a bad deal.
Since Labour came to power in Westminster it has increased support by 56 per cent.
That is a good deal.
Last year support was increased by 5.6 per cent, way above inflation.
That is a good deal.
