THAMESDOWN Software Fulfilment, a multimedia duplication and replication company working in CD, CD-ROM, DVD, video and MC formats, has announced the acquisition of the business of CD/DVD manufacturer SDC GB a move that will create 60 new jobs in Swindon.
Thamesdown's acquisition of SDC GB makes it the second largest independent company in the UK in this market, with an annual turnover of £25m. Thamesdown, whose clients include BT, Sage and Focus Multimedia, has also announced a new name, Thamesdown SDC, and is moving to the old Motorola building in Blagrove.
Thamesdown SDC's managing director Iain Morrison said: "This is a truly exciting move that brings together the skills, expertise and manufacturing capabilities of two experienced organisations."
