The weather took its toll at the weekend with just 35 of the scheduled 81 games surviving the rain, snow and ice.
The matches lost to the weather included all the quarter-finals of the Under 9 and Under 10 cups, scheduled to be played at Ferndale School.
These cup games will be re-scheduled for February 6, but the venue or venues are still to be confirmed.
The good news was that all the quarter-finals of the Under 15 cup were played and two of the Under 11 cup quarter-finals.
Under 17
Leaders Stratton Juniors B had a comfortable win over Wootton Bassett Town. There were hat-tricks for both Craig Whitbread and Steven Nicholls in their 10-0 win, the other goals coming through Rory Sproule with a penalty, Ben Rutter, Scott Rivers and Scott Large.
Stratton Juniors A went joint second, nine points adrift but with two games in hand, after a comfortable 6-1 win at Swindon Badgers. On target for Stratton A were Kevin Neal with a hat-trick, Jamie Black, Louis Cunningham and Kyle Leith. James Tinsley scored the Swindon Badgers consolation goal.
The only other match played saw Ferndale Rodbourne leave Fairford with all three points following a 5-3 win, Duncan Culley scoring twice for Fairford and Oli Garner getting their other goal.
Under 15 KO Cup
Tie of the round was at Maunsell Way, and it certainly lived up to expectations.
Wroughton started superbly against visitors Ferndale Rodbourne, goals from Adam Burson and Carl Leppard putting them 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes. James Cox then raced through and should have made it 3-0 rounding the keeper in style only to knock the ball wide.
A serious injury to Ross Garcia and a 15-minute delay for the ambulance saw Wroughton lose their concentration and Ferndale pulled one back, a good strike from Steve Green. Josh Henshall then made it two all.
Straight after the break Henshall grabbed his second before Bailey levelled the score at 3-3.
Ferndale again took the lead with three minutes remaining as Henshall completed his hat-trick,
Adam Burson then shot in the top of corner of the net in the last minute forcing the tie into extra time.
The game was finally won in the first half of extra time when Henshall raced through and slotted the ball in the back of the net to make his personal tally four.
There were no real surprises in the three remaining ties.
Division One leaders Westbrook were made to work hard for their win by Division Two side Shaw.
Westbrook led 3-0 at the break but it could have been closer as Shaw missed a penalty.
Shaw then came out fighting after the break and scored two of their own through Tom Holmes and Matt Povey, with Westbrook scoring another sandwiched between the two Shaw goals.
In the closing stages Westbrook added a fifth to make it through to the last four.
On target for Westbrook as they continue to look to monopolise the silverware at this age group were Matt Hobbs with a hat-trick, Josh Digby and Matthew Godsell.
Stratton Juniors made light work of inflicting the first defeat of the season on Division Two side Eldene Rangers, highlighting the gap between the two divisions.
Scoring for Stratton in their 9-1 win were Kevin Tate and Dave Glover who both hit hat-tricks, Dan Tooze, Steve Grey and Dan Wilson. Gareth Harkin scored Eldene's consolation goal.
The final side to make it through to the last four, Wootton Bassett Town, also scored nine in their best performance of the season. It was a tense affair for the first 20 minutes before Stuart Smedley scored for Wootton Bassett to break the deadlock.
Adam Leighfield then put the home side back on level terms when he fired a superb free-kick from 25 yards into the top corner of the net.
Phil Tearle put the visitors back in front after an excellent defence splitting pass from Tom Marchment.
Callum Snooks then made it 3-1 after the Eastville keeper failed to hold a Dean Wason cross.
After the break Bassett took control with the central midfield pair of Josh Dimond and Aaron Stevens instrumental in a lot of the play and scored five more times through Snooks twice, to give him his second hat-trick in consecutive weeks against Eastville, Dean Watson, Tearle and Marchment.
Eastville scored a second through Nick Boza before Bassett hit their ninth, a rare goal from William McCurrach with a powerful shot.
There was still time for Eastville to get a consolation third goal, Josh Paddon firing under keeper Ashley Warren.
Under 15 Division 1
With the cup quarter-finals, just one league game took place and Malmesbury moved up into third place in the table after a 6-1 win at home against Croft Juniors. On target at the Red Bull were Vincent Brown (2), Chris Andrews (2), John Hugill and Adam Wickson.
Under 15 Division 2
Just one game survived the weather as second-placed Walcot Wanderers visited Wroughton B.
Wroughton started well and took an early lead through Paul Wiltshire. This seemed to inspire Walcot who came back strongly into the game and scored twice before half time to lead 2-1.
The second half saw the early pressure coming from Walcot but they failed to convert their chances and they were made to pay when Wroughton pulled it back through Roger Crocker.
With five minutes remaining Wroughton substitute Tom Curwood bravely threw himself at a cross and managed to knock the ball past the advancing keeper.
With just two minutes remaining Wroughton did what they have been doing a lot this season and conceded a late goal to leave honours even and the points shared.
Zig Wardale scored two of the Walcot goals, the other coming from Azmol Ali.
Under 14
As ever this season there were once again a high percentage of games played in the Under 14 age group.
Despite having the largest division, just seven fixtures have been lost all season, two coming this Sunday due to the bad weather.
Match of the day was at Lydiard where league leaders Eastville Boys lost their unbeaten league record, going down 2-1 against visitors Brunel Boys in what could be a rehearsal for this season's cup final.
Dominic Burtenshaw put the visitors in front and they extended their lead through Alex Jeffries.
Eastville managed to pull a late goal back through Steven Keir but this could not stop them slipping to their first defeat of the campaign.
Shaw came within minutes of a deserved point against Highworth B but unfortunately went down 3-0 in the end.
Shaw had held Highworth for the majority of the game but then came the turning point as Highworth were awarded a penalty.
In a 50:50 clash between the Shaw keeper and Highworth centre forward the Shaw keeper was adjudged to have caught the Highworth player as he cleared the ball and this allowed Highworth to take the lead from the spot through Chris Avery.
Worse was to come for Shaw who went 2-0 down minutes afterwards when a free kick was awarded to Highworth on the edge of the box, which they duly converted past the despairing Shaw keeper.
Again it was Chris Avery the executioner. Highworth then scored a third before full time, Avery completing a fine hat-trick with a glancing header.
In the match between Fairford and AFC Barbury the first goal came against the run of play when a defensive slip allowed the home team the opener half way through the first half.
This was followed by a wonderfully struck free kick goal which proved to be the winner.
Dan Franklin replied minutes before half time through a well-worked move on the right wing, Joe Rayson providing the telling cut back for Franklin to drill home.
AFC Barbury dominated for most of the match but were unable to convert opportunities in front of goal, Fairford defended superbly throughout, in the dying seconds a shot from Franklin skidded onto the post to deny AFC Barbury a late equaliser.
Dan Skudlarz and James McMurray both hit a brace in Croft Juniors' 8-0 home win over Penhill Allstars, the other goals coming through Max Harrison, Andrew Bilko, Tony O'Connell and an own goal.
Under 13 Division 1
Just one league game was played due to County Cup action and this saw Old Town United B come away from Wroughton with all three points following a 2-0 win.
Meanwhile in the County Cup, Amesbury Sports continue to fly the flag for the league after an impressive 110 win against AFC Corsham from the Mid-Wilts League.
Goals from Sam Aldridge (3), Callum Coker (2) and Shaun Dixon sent Sports in with a very comfortable 6 0 lead at half time. In the second period further goals came from Tom Plant, Tewi Te-Pou, Dean Wrixon and with Callum Coker adding two more taking his tally to four.
Under 13 Division 2
Again just one fixture was played due to a combination of the weather and the County Cup and this saw Liden Community close the gap on leaders Greenmeadow following a 3-1 win over bottom of the table Blunsdon Colts.
On target for Liden were Paul Covey (2) and Grant Davies, Chris Walker replying for Blunsdon.
Under 12 Division 2
Shrivenham & Watchfield failed to take full advantage of leaders Liden Community's inactivity, dropping two points following a 1-1 draw with Marlborough Town, Oli Waite scored for the home side.
AFC Swindon closed the gap to the leaders with a 2-1 away win at Castle Combe, Daniel Black and Nathan Fowler scoring the winning goals.
Fairford remain just behind them after a 4-2 win at Old Town United.
Biggest scorers of the day in the division were Swindon Badgers, who won 11-2 at home against Cricklade Youth B courtesy of goals from Dale Osbourne (4), Tom Costello (3), Chris Ackrill (2), Freddy Andrews and Josh Russell. Tom Hagen and Ryan Crosser scored the Cricklade consolation goals.
