SUPERMARINE Ladies secured their fourth win of the South West One season with a 15-7 home success over Trojans at South Marston on Sunday.

Captain Claire Chard led the charge, scoring two tries as the Southampton-based visitors were defeated.

It was a dominant performance from the Swindon side, who enjoyed the bulk of the possession throughout the contest.

Their one lapse in defence allowed Trojans their solitary converted score in the second half.

But, driven on by the powerful surges of Monica Lewinska, Marine were otherwise in control.

Breaks from Heidi Jelleyman and Chard set up one of the skipper's tries but Marine could have had many more had they capitalised on their ample possession.

Zoe Walsh added the home side's third try.

With the backline initially struggling to cope with conditions underfoot, it was left to the forwards to take control.

No 8 Leatita Delany opened the scoring with a fine pick-up and drive from the base of a scrum.

Delany was also on hand to score Chippenham's second try, picking up a pass after a fine break from full-back Jai Cunningham.

Old Reds scored an unconverted try just before half-time, but the second half was dominated by Chippenham.

They ran in another five unanswered tries, two from Harriett Crockett, two from Akanaise Sauana and one from Kate King.

Sam Morgan contributed four out of seven conversions.
