PHIL COULSON was the Swindon Sunday League hot shot at the weekend, scoring all five as Division One leaders Green Baize beat bottom club Pewsey Saints 5-1 to maintain their 100 pre cent record after 10 games.

Swindon West Indians won 5-0 at Thamesdown Nalgo and Jamie Ashby fired in four goals for Alanbrooke who defeated npower 5-0. Darren Cardus scored the other goal.

Division 1

Current table toppers Penhill United bounced back from last week's defeat by Haydon Wick WMC to record a 5-3 victory over Carriers Arms. Lee Francome and Shane Davis both hit the net twice, together with one from Dave Morse. Carriers goals came from Mark and Jon Peters plus Matt Jack.

Division 3

At the top Coleshill won 3-1 at South Marston, whose consolation effort came from Mark Wells.

CJ Electrical moved into third spot after a comprehensive 8-3 victory at second-placed Fox & Hounds. The Fox efforts came from Neil Lee, Marc Connelly and an own goal.

Barry Shedden netted for Nationwide who went down 4-1 at the hands of Jovial Monk.

Division 4

In the only fixture played, a goal from Kevin Reape gave leaders Prince of Wales a 1-0 home win against Highworth Swindon Fencing.

Division 5

Both the Chiseldon teams recorded victories. Castrol came away from Deers Leap with a fine 5-3 win with doubles for Ian Neave and Pete Griffiths together with one for Joe Matano.

A brace each for John Cave-Ayland and James Bradfield helped Duckhams to a 4-2 home win over KMLC.

Division 6

Leaders 419ers lost again, this time at home against lowly Tawny Owl 3-1. Dave McDonnell, Carl Harris and Dale Surridge were all on the scoresheet in an excellent effort by the Owl, and Dave Pritchard netted for the spluttering 419ers.

In the fixture between second-placed Dolphin and the team in third, Nine Elms, it ended 4-4. Dolphin took the lead on four occasions through Ben Taylor, Nick Stevenson, Charlie Walton and Stevenson again but were pegged back each time by replies from Paul Webb, Steve Townsend and two from Russell Fuller for the Elms.

Doubles from Shaun Huett, Martin Lewis, Paul Hibberd and one for Matthew Fryer was enough for Nationwide Life to win 7-3 at Intermach whose reply came from Ray Ormsby.

Division 7

Dennis Removals won 4-2 at Moredon Cheney with Gareth Royle and Ash Dodson scoring for Cheney.

Division 8

Green Baize United trounced Cats 8-1 to stay firmly in control at the top. Stuart Morse hit the net twice as did Mark Jell, and these were added to by Tom Valentine, Danny Mason, Lee Beavis and Ady Roper. The Cats' consolation came from Gary Lawrie.

Third-placed West Swindon Sunday had a comfortable 9-0 win at Bear Marlborough, Matt Bennett knocked in a hat-trick, a double for Rob Harris and one each for Tom Goodey, Wayne Cleverly and Damien Debono and an own goal.

Coleview won 3-0 at Sandgate with Rob New, Phil New and Sam Jenkins all netting.

Classic Paving won 7-2 at Smart Movers with Robert Cantillon and Darren Brown on target, plus a double for Rob Walker and a hat-trick from Martin Swadden. Dean Ainscow and Craig Smith replied for Smart Movers.
