A KIND-HEARTED eight-year-old showed that you are never too young to help others, when he sold his toys and books to raise money for the victims of the tsunami.
Christian Judd ran a stall at St Michael's Church, Winterbourne Earls, last Sunday, and made £100 for the appeal.
"I saw what happened and I wanted to help people," he said.
"I sold my games, jigsaws, and books and my Grandma gave me some plants and my Grandad made some popcorn to sell."
Christian, who lives in Allington, and goes to Winterbourne Earls Primary School, gave his proceeds to the Rotary Club, who will use it to buy two lifesaving Aquaboxes. The boxes are filled with clothes, tools, sanitary products and other essential items and sent to the disaster area.
Each box also contains a water filtration system and can also be used to provide a family with clean water for four months.
Amesbury Rotary Club is aiming to send 100 boxes to countries devastated by the tsunami and president Andy Derry was delighted with Christian's contribution.
"Meeting Christian is one of the highlights of my time as president," he said. It was a wonderful effort and it is people like him who make a real difference."
