Salisbury Cathedral was transformed into a spectacular sea of colour on Tuesday, when a 2,000ft-long scarf was draped up and down the central aisle.
It was the result of an appeal launched by BBC Radio Wiltshire, encouraging listeners to knit squares that could be sewn together and made into scarves for the county's homeless. Dean of Salisbury the Very Reverend June Osborne (above) blessed the scarf and thanked all those who had contributed.
