MOTHER-of-two Sarah Smart had her head in the clouds, literally, when she embarked on fundraising for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Mrs Smart, from Pewsey, raised just under £1,000 by taking part in a parachute jump at Netheravon.
Strapped to a veteran Army skydiver, Mrs Smart made a tandem jump from 13,500 feet over the Pewsey Vale airfield on November 14 making a safe, if exhilarating, landing, she said.
She hopes to swell the sum considerably on Saturday by means of a fun evening in the Woodborough Social Club.
Mrs Smart is the daughter of Trevor Davies, better known as Dozey from the chart-topping
Wiltshire/Hampshire 1960s' group Dave Dee, Dozey, Beaky, Mick and Tich.
He will be at the fun evening along with Tich from the band, Ian Amey.
The group had hits with a number of songs in the mid-1960s although their only UK number one was the Legend of Xanadu.
Mrs Smart, 32, who has two children, Dominic, 13, and Danielle, 11, said she had always wanted to make a parachute jump and when the chance came along she decided to do it in aid of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance appeal.
She said: "My mum actually won it as a raffle prize but she did not want to do it so I said I would do it."
Mrs Smart, a former Wiltshire Ambulance attendant, said she enjoyed every minute of the jump even though she was nervous when the time came for her to leave the plane watched from the ground by her husband, Conrad, and children.
Tickets for the evening at Woodborough, which will include live music, a pub style quiz and supper, cost £5 and can be reserved by ringing Mrs Smart 07855 351957 or (01380) 848203.
