Burton Hill House pupils are hoping local businesses will support their new initiative to recycle mobile phones and used printer cartridges.
The school have joined up with recycling company Recycool which teaches youngsters the importance of protecting the environment.
It works by leaving a box in the school for firms to donate used equipment. Once that is filled, Recycool collects it.
Burton Hill House is then given a money for the recycled goods, which will be used towards buying equipment for the school.
School development officer Kaye O'Neill said: "We are asking as many local companies as possible to take a box and help us and the environment at the same time.
"The only cost to the company is the phone call to Recycool to collect the box."
For more information, phone Recycool on 08451 30 20 50 and quote Burton Hill House's unique ID number 820059.
