Members of Brinkworth Heritage Society have donated £1,000 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and £200 to the charity, Riding for the Disabled.
A presentation was made to the charities on Thursday night at Brinkworth House. The money was raised at last September's successful Brinkworth Country Show.
Ken Cooper, chairman of the show, said the charities had been chosen because they had widespread appeal.
Mr Cooper said: "Everybody knows the good work they do. The presentation also gave us an opportunity to promote this year's country show. It is becoming one of the largest one-day shows in this area."
Mr Cooper said £5,000 had also been donated to the community of Brinkworth from the country show. It has been used to provide a hard surface play area for the primary school.
