15218/3Youngsters enjoyed every moment when Malmesbury police brought along the forces' dogs Bodie and Wilf as part of an educational visit.
The officers visited children from Malthouse Nursery in Charlton Business Park on Tuesday.
Supervisor Alison Ayrotn invited the officers to come in order to stress the importance of saying no to strangers.
The children, aged between three and five-years-old, got a chance to inspect the police car and radio and they enjoyed trying on a selection of helmets.
Nursery teacher Penny Marshall said the visit was very successful.
She said: "The police explained to the children that they are there to help. They also explained how to say no to strangers.
"The kids enjoyed seeing the police dogs and afterwards they drew pictures to express their feelings.
"Quite a few drew the dogs, the hats and some even drew the officers' boots, because they do wear big boots. Malmesbury police did a really good job at pitching their message to the kids.
