CORSHAM manager Colin Bush is fuming after Saturday's game against Barnstaple was called off due to a water-logged pitch.
The Corsham players were greeted by torrential rain when they got as far as Taunton, and the referee had no option but to postpone the match after water built up on the surface.
"It was a wasted journey and a waste of money, it could have been called off sooner," said Bush.
"The weather report was spot on and we did not need to go all the way down there."
Bush does not know what to expect ahead of Saturday's Les Philips Cup match at home to Saltash.
The Cornwall side are third from bottom of the Screwfix First Division and sacked their manager Tony Bowker last week.
Ex-Callington boss Stuart Henderson took over before their bottom of the table clash with Biddestone and is their third manager this season.
Bush said: "We don't know what will happen, they could have a few new players in and Tony might take a few with him."
Bush is hoping to do well in the competition as Corsham got to the final last season before being beaten by Trowbridge.
