How it gladdens my heart to read of the pensioner trying to rally support for the purchase of Spitalcroft allotments.
Too many times we see where the local councils have let taxpayers down. So many changes to the town and surrounding lands have already taken place and yet there are many more to come.
Large areas of rural land are being lost to the money-grabbing developers. Do local people really understand the vast changes taking place in
Devizes?
Now seems a good time for everyone to start asking all manner of awkward questions to their local councils and councillors.
The Freedom of Information Act came into force on January 1 and
allows you to ask about anything that is in the public domain.
So I say go ahead, ask those questions you have always wanted to the councils are public servants and it is about time they were reminded of the fact.
