Minety's frustrating season continued on Saturday when they were comprehensively beaten away at Tadley, injury and absence meaning at least six regular second team players had to make the trip.
This led to the second team being unable to field a side once again for the fixture against Warminster.
To their credit, Minety competed well up front thanks largely to the excellent jumping of flanker Max Smith.
Uncharacteristically, Minety's first-up tackling was poor and Tadley's excellent back line took full advantage.
The home side eventually clocked up 79 points. In reply, the visitors had to content themselves with a single converted try and a penalty goal.
This Saturday, the firsts are due to play at home against Redingensians.
The club has a team of regulars eager to turn out and play for the seconds, but they cannot take the field without a front row, and at the moment they simply do not have one.
Front rowers will be welcomed with open arms so e-mail nigel.aprice@virgin.net
