MARLBOROUGH team boss Mike Banfield accepts that his side's Dorset & Wilts One North trip to Cricklade tomorrow will decide their future in the division.
Banfield's men are stranded with Hungerford at the foot of the table with just one win to their name this season.
Their inability to raise a side at leaders Corsham and subsequent deduction of two points earlier this season means they currently have no points, two behind tomorrow's hosts, who have had a total of four points deducted for failing to fulfil fixtures.
Marlborough have been on the receiving end of several thumpings, including a 72-3 home loss to Calne last week, and have shipped nearly 600 points in the league.
And Banfield said: "After another couple of heavy defeats we have come to the game that will basically decide if we have any chance of staying in this division.
"A defeat to Cricklade will mean that they move four points above us and, with our poor points difference, that would probably mean that we would need three wins after that to stay up.
"However if we beat Cricklade then we are level on points and will have a tight run in.''
Elsewhere, Calne host Hungerford and Supermarine go to Cooper Avon.
Swindon continue their Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier Division campaign at Farnham Royal, flanker Jon Parker returning from an eye injury and Ian Butcher dropping to the bench.
Wing Tom Lalor is unavailable and Robin Haxton comes in and Nathan Waite returns. Lock Steve Davis and scrum half Jamie Whatcott complete the squad.
Southern Counties South leaders Wootton Bassett travel to Bradford on Avon, veteran prop Mark Roshier starting and Gary Williamsom on the bench.
Wing Matt Monckton and scrum-half Tom Collins swap positions for Devizes' trip to Trowbridge.
