AN open day at Trowbridge Town Hall on Saturday attracted 250 visitors. The event was the second of four open days designed to gauge people's views on the future of the building.
Town development manager Daryl Saville-Brown said: "It is a good opportunity for people to see the historic building in its current state. After all most of us walk past it every day."
The town council hopes to take over management of the hall from West Wiltshire District Council and wants public input on how the building can best serve the community. At the suggestion of a visitor a Friends of Trowbridge Town Hall committee will be formed and will hold its first meeting in March.
The next two open days will take place between 10am and 4pm February 25 and 26.
