A FLOWER and hardware store in Trowbridge is closing after a decade of trading in the town. CBC Hardware and Gardening and Dories Flowers, in the Castle Place precinct, will close in August.
The two businesses have been sharing the premises for the past five years and were in the market place for five years before that.
Cathy Shord, 51, who runs Dories Flowers, said: "We have put our life and soul into this place and we were hoping for many more years.
"We would like to stay in Trowbridge if a shop came up but there aren't any available."
Carl Coote, 49, of CBC said they have decided to shut up shop when their lease runs out as they have not reached an agreement with the landlord to renew it.
Miss Shord said: "We have had such a following of customers here and we are so sorry we have to close.
"We thank our customers for the support they have given us."
