STAFF at Trowbridge Hospital have added a dash of colour to their wards to raise money for the tsunami appeal.

Workers at the Harriet Usher, Nelson Haden and Casualty wards have been wearing yellow to raise awareness of the fundraising.

They have made donations each day for the privilege.

Workers have donned yellow wigs, t-shirts and flowers in their bid to help out.

Staff have also held a bring-and-buy sale and a raffle.

Sue Sonnet, ward sister at Nelson Haden, said everyone had been keen to do their bit.

"We don't know how much we have raised yet as things are still going on but obviously we hope to raise as much as we can," she said.

"Lots of patients at the hospital have asked what's going on and they have also contributed by buying things from the bring and buy sales.

"We were all influenced individually and collectively we wanted to do whatever we could to help."
