STAFF and students at Headlands School have raised £1,090 for the tsunami appeal in just one day.
The Headlands School Council organised an Own Clothes Day to raise the cash. In addition, pupils brought in blankets, sheets, clothing and toiletries, which were delivered in a minibus to the regional tsunami appeal collection point at Wroughton Airfield.
Headteacher Jan Shadick said: "I am incredibly proud of the contribution everyone has made and would like to thank staff, pupils and parents for their generosity.
"I would also like to thank the School Council for making this day possible and for the efficient way they organised the event from start to finish."
Joint head girlAmy Wright said: "This was an opportunity to show that Headlands really cares about those less fortunate than ourselves."
