Premier Division title hopefuls New College received a setback when they were held to a 2-2 draw by visitors Warminster Town.
After a defeat at Cricklade last week Pete Horwat's side needed to get a victory under their belts to take advantage of their games in hand on the top two in the section, but a late strike robbed them of the points.
It took time for the two sides to settle on a heavy pitch and the early exchanges were fairly scrappy.
However it was the visitors who drew first blood midway through the half with a good strike from Tom Welch.
College fought back and the visitors' keeper made some good stops before Rob Metcalfe's curling effort sent the sides in level at the break.
After the interval play was fairly even before a three-man move ended with Terry Bohane rounding the keeper to give the home side the lead.
Warminster pressed hard to get on terms and were rewarded in the second minute of injury time when a quickly taken free-kick took the College defence by surprise and Welch ran through to snatch a share of the points.
AFC Stratton, without new strikers Mazotta and Robinson, had enough chances in the first half to have sewn the game up but paid the penalty when Pewsey Vale took their opportunities in the second half to run out 2-0 winners.
Stratton boss Tony Dyer said: "I know I keep saying it but we are getting no luck at all at the moment.
"I can't fault the players for effort we just don't seem to be getting the rub of the green. We are playing some good football but not getting a result, we have just got to keep battling and hope the tide will turn."
Neil Stevens scored for Pewsey midway through the half and Andy Olsen delivered the killer blow with a second in the last minute.
Cricklade's game with Bromham was postponed due to a soggy pitch, while leaders Bradford Town were surprisingly beaten by Westbury United Gerry Spence scoring the only goal of the game a couple of minutes from time.
Corsham Town took over pole position following their 1-0 win at Devizes thanks to a strike midway through the second half from Adam Taylor.
Melksham also won 1-0, beating visitors Shrewton United with a strike from Matt Taylor.
Calne Town won by the same score against Marlborough Town courtesy of a strike by Ronnie Kalmeir midway through the second half.
THE top match in Junior Division One between Down Ampney and Cricklade Reserves finished all square on one goal apiece.
There was plenty of action as play switched from end to end. Ben Dalton netted for Ampney 10 minutes before the break and Matt Charlton scored an equaliser soon after the restart.
Craig Green and Kirk Wheeler scored for Blunsdon in their 2-0 victory over West Swindon and Gerry Wright, Craig Shand and Kamal Miah did likwise for Swindon Asians in their 3-0 away win at Aldbourne.
There was a cracking game between Ferndale Rodbourne and Westside, the visitors running out 5-4 winners.
Trailing 4-1 at one stage, Ferndale fought back with goals from Robert Griffin (2) and Terry and Matt Bown, and despite a final onslought, just failed to take a share of the points. John Webb (2), Rick Hewittson, Craig Roberts and Dave Rendle scored for Westside.
Ross Law hit four goals and Mark Bone netted from almost the halfway line for Wroughton in their 5-0 win over Lower Stratton and Minety and Marlbourough shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
In Junior Two, Castle Combe kept their unbeaten league record intact with a 2-0 win against Westlecot. James Pope and Leighton Brown the scorers.
Chiseldon Castrol were 5-2 winners against Stratton St Margaret. Alan Woolhouse, Simon Cox, Graham Mitchell, Nick Camden and Gareth Parry sharing the goals.
AFC Abbey Rodbourne defeated Dynamobury by the same score with Paul Parsons grabbing a hat-trick and Danny Groom and Ricky Oliver also on target.
Pinehurst OB beat AFC Rodbourne 3-2.
Shane Davies, Steve Challinor and Liam Preedy scoring for Pinehurst and Lee and McAteer for the home side.
Stratton Rovers Reserves were the highest scorers, beating Westside Reserves 9-0 Kevin Harris and Steve Mallard netted for Bromham in their 2-0 win over Blunsdon and County Ground beat Barron Heating 2-1.
