SEVERELY depleted Supermarine looked on course to frustrate Division One West leaders Mangotsfield before folding in the second half.

Mark Collier's suspension-hit side were holding the top dogs to goalless draw at the interval and probably should have been ahead.

But some defensive lapses saw the freescoring home side romp away in the second period to triumph 5-1.

Mark Draycott saw his early snap shot saved by Danny Greaves and Jeremy Newton fired over as Marine threatened an upset.

Greaves was called upon again to deny new signing JP Mills and Draycott before half-time.

But Mangotsfield broke the deadlock on 51 minutes and the floodgates burst open.

After Mark Summers' opener, headers from Gary Warren and Ross Casey put the Bristol outfit in control.

Michael Meaker's long-range effort made it 4-0 before Mills capped an impressive debut with a brilliant curling free-kick to pull one back.

Mangotsfield had the last word though as Meaker collected David Seal's pass and fired past Tom King for a late fifth.
