A woman accused of snatching a pensioner's handbag in Liden has been remanded in custody by a judge at Swindon Crown Court.
Shelley Corless is said to have taken the bag from the woman, who is in her 70s, on the afternoon of Monday, January 17.
The 25-year-old mum is charged with robbery, two counts of attempted escape from lawful custody and deception.
She spoke only to confirm her name during the brief hearing. No charges were put to her and no pleas entered.
The elderly victim of the bag snatch was left with a bruised face and cuts to her hands.
The pensioner was left badly shaken up.
Corless, of Sheringham Court, Liden, was remanded in custody by Judge John McNaught and the case was adjourned to March 11 when she is expected to enter her pleas to the four charges.
