SWINDON Under 14s picked up a deserved 25-17 triumph over Westbury to bounce back from their 27-10 defeat to a strong Newbury side.
Westbury scored first after a Swindon mistake, but the home side woke up and Andy Pederson scored their opening try from a tapped penalty and Luke Guest crossing in the corner.
Ben Loosemore and Nick Cozens then combined out wide for the latter to score twice and, just before half time, Loosemore added a superb try.
Although Westbury hit back with two second-half scores, Swindon held on.
Despite their 27-10 defeat to Newbury, Swindon performed well.
Trailing 15-0 at the interval, the visitors were rewarded with tries from prop Pederson and Loosmore.
The under 10s enjoyed a 5-0 success away at Havant, Sam Williams scoring twice, Jack Cole, Jacob Ford and Jack Kimber also touching down.
In the second match, Swindon won 2-1, Williams and Liam Donoghue scoring.

The under sevens and eights played matches against Bristol side St Mary's.
The under sevens had two narrow victories, Jake Cox (2) and Christian Wood touching down in the opening 3-2 success.
Wood added another in the 4-2 win, David Sorrill, James Easton and Thomas Renwick also crossing.
The under eights had mixed fortunes, winning the first match 6-2 as Ieuan Whelan bagged a hat-trick, Taylor Rowe two and Tom Bain crossed.
The second game was lost 4-2, despite Josh Lee's double.

In earlier matches, Swindon under 11 were beaten by both Corsham and Minety.
The Corsham match ended in a 5-1 defeat, Cameron Panting scoring in that game and the 3-2 defeat by Minety, Ryan Gardo also crossing.
