CIRENCESTER'S Bristol jinx struck yet again as they were downed 7-3 at Bristol Saracens.
Myles Ferris' men had already endured bad days out at both Ashley Down and Old Bristolians in their previous two away games.
And despite their opponents playing a limited 10-man game, Ciren slumped yet again.
The home side gained their points on 25 minutes, when the forwards drove 20 metres up to the Ciren line with an impressive maul for a converted try.
Ciren held out until half-time and, with the elements in their favour in the second half, were confident of turning it around.
But although the scrums and lineout improved, the visitors were simply unable to provide any quick ball for the backs.
An Adam Seager penalty 10 minutes into the half was all that the visitors managed.
n MALMESBURY'S 10-try spree overwhelmed Trowbridge 3rd and kept the Monks on course for the Dorset & Wilts Two North title in their first season of league rugby.
With the foundation of Alan Keyes and David Manktelow in the second row, Malmesbury had the ideal platform from which to tear into their opponents.
Full-back Stuart Wright helped himself to a hat-trick, but skipper Paul Hutton scored the first try of the afternoon, outrunning his opposite number to the corner.
David Worker and Huw Jones also crossed for unconverted scores, while Kris Arens added the extras to two tries by Wright, Rob Gow and Keyes for a 43-0 lead at half-time.
Wright completed his treble after the interval, Jones helping himself to his second.
Arens converted both, but missed his attempt after Justin King.
