A LONG awaited inquiry into a controversial gipsy site begins today.
Residents in Minety are objecting to the site occupied by around 50 travellers who want to stay on land they own but for which they do not have planning permission to develop.
Last year a High Court judge refused to approve an eviction, ruling that the occupiers could stay until an appeal is heard.
The inquiry in Chippenham will hear from planning officers, gipsies and residents.
