ANDY King has met with the Town board to discuss mystery 'proposals' on a number of footballing issues at the club but for now he is playing his cards close to his chest.
The Town boss spent much of yesterday locked in meetings with a number of directors although the outcome or outcomes remain a closely-guarded secret for now.
All that is clear is whatever King put forward was accepted by those holding the purse strings.
News of the meeting was broken late last night by director Bob Holt, although he himself was not present.
The manager was not going to be drawn on the matter today and Holt said it was for King to make any announcements.
He said: "I can confirm that Andy King has met with board members to discuss a number of proposals.
"All I can say is that those proposals were discussed and then sanctioned by the board. Having been approved it is now up to Andy to try and implement them if he can. I am sure Andy will make an announcement when he feels it is right to do so."
It is likely to be the latter part of the week before any details are revealed, possibly as late as Friday.
Speculation surrounding King's position has been rife in the last few days, with former Nottingham Forest assistant manager Mick Harford linked with club in some capacity.
It seems manager and directors were keen to sit down, separate truth from fiction and design a clear path for the future.
