THE team that organises and operates the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford is to undergo a series of changes.
The RAF Benevolent Fund Enterprises has been the subject of a wide-ranging review, which has found that the The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, an independent charity, should own the RAFBFE.
The re-named, stand-alone trust, will be chaired by Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Knight and will aim to promote recruiting and efficiency in the Royal Air Force as well as support the service's charitable work.
To reflect this change, the RAFBFE will change its name to The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises.
The company will continue to run the Royal International Air Tattoo as well as its other activities including promotion of and organising the national concert tour by the Massed Bands of the RAF.
This year's air tattoo will be held on July 16 and 17.
