Headteacher Danet Mirehouse, said: "It has been good for the children to learn about teamwork and about how good working together can be.
"It is also very good for their self-esteem.
"We do pretty well at sports here even though we are a small school.
"We also want to teach the children how important sport is for their fitness and health.
"It's also nice to have members of the community visiting the school and for the children to meet young adults in the school."
Georgina Brain, one of the students who took part, said: "For our coursework we had to organise an event and go ahead and make a business plan. We chose to come to the school to promote fitness."
