GAZETTE & HERALD: A SCOTTISH woman has turned to the people of Corsham to help her complete her family tree.
Elizabeth Fraser and her husband took up the challenge as a retirement hobby, but they need some assistance in locating a distant relative.
Mrs Fraser is a direct descendent of the eminent English 18th century landscape gardener Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
He designed the garden at Corsham Court, which can still be seen today, and his grandson, also Lancelot, lived in Guyers Lane.
Mrs Fraser is interested in tracking down Capability's grandson and find ing out where he was buried.
He died in 1895 and it is thought there is a tomb or memorial to him somewhere in the Corsham area.
If anyone knows where Lancelot is buried they are asked to contact Martin Yallop at the Heritage Centre on (01249) 714660.
