PLANS for the proposed Riverbank theatre, cinema and arts centre in Marlborough are to be shown in Pewsey.
Director of the project Rosie Hill will be showing the plans and talking about the scheme at a public meeting in the Bouverie Hall on Monday from 6.30-8pm.
The Kennet Valley Arts Trust, the group behind the Riverbank plans, has always described the project as being for the whole of the district and not just for the town of Marlborough.
The trust's business plans show that the Riverbank will need to be supported by users from over a wide area, including the Pewsey Vale.
No current figures for the cost of the theatre have been given but previous estimates were just under £5 million.
The final plans that have been submitted to Kennet District Council were unveiled at a public meeting in Marlborough on January 6.
A spokesman for the trust said the meeting on Monday has been organised to give people from the Pewsey area an opportunity to see and comment on the plans.
Mrs Hill will be talking about the history of the project, the current plans and the necessity for communities around Marlborough including Pewsey to pledge support for the Riverbank.
Those attending the meeting will be invited to give their views on the proposals. Refreshments will be provided.
