TEAM spirit at Chippenham is at an all-time high after the 2-0 win over title rivals Merthyr Tydfil, according to winger Scott Walker.
Walker thought the win was vital as the Bluebirds strive for promotion to the Conference South.
He said: "Team spirit is brilliant at the moment. To win against another top team was great and we avenged the defeat they gave us in November, which was a bonus.
"The game was important and the win helped confidence, but the main thing is that we collected three more points."
The winger refused to get excited about a title charge in the first week of February, saying "there is still hell of a long way to go."
But he praised the side and believed the win against the Welsh outfit was one of the best displays he has seen all season.
"It was the best team performance, we played well in all areas of the pitch. Every player put in a great display."
The attacking player is unhappy he has not scored in the Southern Premier League since November.
"I have been playing in a more defensive role recently and not had that much opportunities to score.
"It's not about who gets the goals but it would be nice to get another one soon."
