DEFENDER Sam Jones is going through the most nerve-wracking time in his football career as he awaits to find out if he has earned a professional contract at Bristol Rovers.
The left back started his Youth Training Scheme three years ago along with six other promising players.
With the scheme coming to an end Jones is the only player left after the others were released last summer.
Jones, 19, has been regularly training with the Rovers first team and has made several appearances for the reserves.
But he knows a decision on his future is imminent.
He said: "I have been doing well and training hard but I still don't know what is going to happen.
"It could go either way so I am just sat here waiting for a decision.
"I have loved every minute of my YTS, it would be a dream to get a professional contract."
The defender is due to find out the final decision soon but in the mean time he is still on work experience at Chippenham Town.
"If I don't get a contract I would love to play for Chippenham," Jones added.
"It is a great club and everyone has been good to me."
