SALISBURY women's rugby star Emily Cooke is poised to make a return to Six Nations duty tomorrow evening when Eng-land take on Wales at Cardiff Arms Park.
The 26-year-old winger, who now plays her club rugby with Clifton, said she is delighted to be in the England squad who are looking to make up for the disappointment of losing their Six Nations crown to the French last year.
"It should be an interesting game," said the Leaden Hall School teacher (pictured, left) who has not previously played at the former home of Welsh rugby.
"We will have eight new caps in the starting line up while the Welsh have quite a young and inexperienced team. They've had something of a shake up with a number of their senior players no longer involved.
"It'll still be a test for us."
Cooke, who has chalked up more than 25 caps since making her international debut in 1999, was expecting to start the game on the bench, but with team mate Kim Shaylor suffering a hand injury at the weekend, the Salisbury player is raring to go should head coach Geoff Richards name her in the starting line-up.
The game kicks off at 7.15pm.
WHEATSHEAF Cabin Crew's friendly match with Italian side Asti has been given the go-ahead to be staged at Salisbury City's Raymond McEnhill Stadium at Old Sarum on Friday, March 11, kick off 7pm.
Admission will be £4 adults, with accompanied under 16s admitted free.
