TROWBRIDGE LEAGUE: DIVISION Three leaders St Andrews lost pole position for the first time this season after their crunch top of the table battle at Lavington.
Lavington's 17-year-old hot-shot Myles Hickton notched goals 30 and 31 of the season in the host's 3-0 success that replaces Saints on top on goal difference.
A fully stretched Hickton unlocked the competitive exchanges by turning home Steve Hadden-Smith's cross on the half-hour before supplying Scott Clark with a second four minutes later.
Saints, for whom Dave Greenwood hit a post, owed much to keeper Andy Gaskell who was beaten again by Hickton four minutes into stoppage time.
With their three rivals immediately above them in cup action or not playing, Apetito had the chance of consolidating their promotion push but, with both keepers making outstanding saves, missed out at FC Chippenham who collected a second successive point in a 1-1 draw.
Tom Keogh celebrated his debut to put Chippenham ahead at the break only for Nigel Penelhum to level soon after the restart.
Bradford Town Reserves also gained a morale-boosting result with first team scoring-ace Tom Pang banging in a hat-trick on his return from suspension in the 9-0 rout of Castle Combe A. Jason Harford also hit a treble.
