CALNE'S four-month unbeaten run could hit the skids this weekend when four key players swap their football boots for skis.
With a Calne quartet away on a skiiing trip and another player absent for their clash at Ilfracombe, Highmore was hoping for three points against Dawlish to make the game on Saturday less important.
He said: "If we had beaten Dawlish then a win at Ilfracombe would not have been vital.
"I am frustrated that we are losing so many players next week but that's non-league football and I can't do anything about it."
Brothers Ryan and Matt Pratley, defender Eddy Drury and midfielder Danny Jones are all away on the skiing holiday and influential centre back Steve Casey is also unavailable.
Star defender Darren Smart is almost recovered from a groin strain but is still likely to be out this weekend.
The boss is boosted by the news that striker Ben Highmore finishes a suspension and will be available for selection on Saturday.
Highmore believes Calne were the batter side in the top of the table clash against Dawlish and was disappointed that his side squandered several chances to steal the three points.
"We created plenty of chances but missed our opportunity to put pressure on Willand and Radstock.
"It is still in our hands and we have games over them.
"If we can capitalise on our games in hand then we put ourselves in a good position."
The game was hard fought between the two sides, with both counting themselves lucky to take a second 0-0 between the two clubs this season.
Calne's best first half effort came on 38 minutes when a long throw from Matt Pratley fell to winger James Lye but his acrobatic volley cannoned off the woodwork.
As the game drew to a close both sides looked for the elusive winner. With ten minutes left Dawlish almost snatched it when a header from Chris Slough was hacked off the line by Robbie Lardner.
That chance made Calne come to life and Lye broke down the field.
He gave the ball to Jones who crossed to Pratley. But his powerful low shot was blocked by ex-Torquay player Chris Myers.
